Do you work specifically with breeders?
Yes. First Paws Canine Photography specializes in working with breeders and their litters. My experience with breeding, raising puppies, and understanding breeder needs allows me to provide images that support marketing, listings, and program presentation. Whether you are raising puppies for the first time or the 100th time I am happy to work with you!
What ages of puppies do you photograph?
I photograph puppies from newborn through adulthood, with a specialty in the newborn to first 8 weeks stage. These early weeks are delicate and fast-moving, and my experience allows me to work safely and efficiently during this time.
Where do sessions take place?
All sessions are completed on location at your home or kennel. Photographing puppies in their familiar environment helps reduce stress and allows for more natural, relaxed images. I do need access to a flat surface- such as a table, as well as an outlet to plug in lighting.
How long does a session take?
Session length varies depending on the age of the puppies and the size of the litter. I work efficiently while respecting the puppies’ comfort, energy levels, and safety. Sessions are paced to avoid overstimulation. Most sessions will take less than an hour.
Do you handle and position the puppies?
Yes. Safe, gentle puppy handling and positioning are a core part of my service. With over 10 years of experience around breeding and puppies, I understand how to work calmly and confidently while prioritizing their wellbeing.
Can I request specific poses, inspiration photos, or themes?
Absolutely. Inspiration photos and specific requests are always welcome. I’m also happy to provide creative guidance and ideas if you’re unsure of the look you want. Seasonal themes, tasteful props, and simple setups can be incorporated upon request. We can use any props or items you may have or I am able to provide props as well.
How many images will I receive?
The number of final images depends on the session type, litter size, and puppy cooperation. All delivered images are professionally edited and selected to best represent each puppy and the litter as a whole. For our most popular photography packages you will receive 2-3 edited photos of each puppy per session.
How will I receive my photos?
Images are delivered digitally via email or text message, making it easy to save and share your photos for listings, websites, and social media.
How far do you travel?
On-location service is included within 20 miles of Davison Mi. Extended travel is available and may include an additional travel fee based on distance. Please contact me for details.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your each session date and time. The remaining balance is due at the time of service.
How far in advance should I book?
Advance booking is recommended, especially during busy seasons. Scheduling early helps ensure availability during the ideal age window for your puppies. I recommend getting in touch one week before your puppies are due if you are wanting a newborn session.
How do I book a session?
